As a Tampa wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless love stories across the city of Tampa. Each engagement session location in Tampa has its own charm, which creates them unique backdrops for couples.
Couples that want stunning, elegant backdrops must stop at The Le Méridien Tampa Hotel, a transformed federal courthouse. It’s a stunning location for your save the date photo. The La Meridian engagement session location combines elegance with a touch of history, creating an exquisite backdrop for those seeking a mix of classic and contemporary styles. Just a block over is the Tampa theater with it’s large “Tampa” marquee it’s a essential stop for any Tampa engagement session.
Located on the Tampa Riverwalk is Curtis Hixon Park. There’s so many backdrop locations here I honestly couldn’t feature them all on this short post. From the water fountain to the lawn and the beautiful Hillsborough River. Having your engagement session at Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa is such a dynamic backdrop, perfect for couples wanting a vibrant park feel right in the middle of the city.
This is probably the top requested engagement session location in Tampa, The University of Tampa. Its stunning architecture and historical significance, provides a majestic setting for engagement photos. Not only does it offer beautiful architecture but hash lush garden landscapes offering a blend of natural and man-made beauty. Probably the most icon picture at this location is the Tampa skyline. You have to hit this location at just the right time or the photos won’t work out, but don’t worry I’ve uncovered the secret to perfect photos with the Tampa Skyline.
This is my own unique find. It’s always exciting as a photographer when you uncover a unique, stunning location. It’s a rare location that I’m able to offer my clients. Davis Island is known for its unique architectural features. This spot adds a resort elegance and distinct charm to photos. The intricate details and diverse textures of the building provide a dynamic backdrop, allowing for creative and memorable photographs. It’s a location that truly stands out in Tampa. It’s close to downtown, so you can combine it with most of the other Tampa engagement session locations on this list. Check out this full engagement session (ending at the University of Tampa) here.
I love Cypress Point Park for beach photos! It’s so conveniently located and offers a large variety of background. There’s almost ever beach background all in one location: soft grass, mangroves, palms trees, lush paths… There’s so many reasons to love this park!! plus, because it’s not a traditional gulf beach it’s very peaceful and much less crowded than other Tampa beaches. Check out a couple full Tampa engagement sessions here and here to enjoy all the backgrounds it offers!
Even though there’s a small entrance fee for a Fort DeSoto engagement session. In my opinion, it’s completely worth it! It’s right on the gulf but has ample parking and fairly quiet beaches. But what makes Fort Desoto so unique is the historic fort. What a unique element for your Tampa beach engagement session. For Desoto provides a natural and historic setting for truly unforgettable engagement photos. Check out their full Fort Desoto engagement session here.
Each of these locations brings its own unique flavor to an engagement session, embodying the diversity and beauty of Tampa, making it a joy to capture love stories as a Tampa wedding photographer. For more engagement photos at these location check out the engagement session section on my blog.
