Hollis Garden & Lake Mirror Engagement Session

Amanda and Bryan’s engagement session at Hollis Garden and Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida was such a dream. From the very first email, I could tell they were something special. Amanda mentioned she had been reading my blog for a while and loved my work. That’s always the best feeling—to know a couple connects with what I share and trusts me with their story.

We met in downtown Lakeland and started our session in Hollis Garden. It’s one of my favorite engagement session spots as a Lakeland wedding photographer. The blooming flowers, winding paths, and romantic fountains create such a peaceful and beautiful setting. Amanda looked stunning, and Bryan couldn’t stop smiling at her. They were completely at ease in front of the camera.

From there, we walked down to Lake Mirror. The water reflected the golden light, and it made the perfect backdrop for some quiet, candid moments. These two have such an easy way of laughing together. It made every photo feel warm and real.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get better—we headed to a rooftop downtown. Amanda and Bryan brought a bottle of champagne, and we ended the evening with a golden-hour toast. The sun dipped low over Lakeland as they popped the bottle, laughed, and clinked glasses. It was the perfect way to celebrate their engagement.

Sessions like this remind me why I love being a Tampa wedding photographer and Lakeland wedding photographer. The mix of lush garden, lakeside views, and city rooftop gave us so much variety. But even more than that—it was Amanda and Bryan’s connection that made the session unforgettable.
