A Premier Event Space in Lakeland, Florida

Haus 820 is a popular wedding venue right in the heart of Lakeland, FL and it’s not hard to see why. I kept debating how to classify this venue: historic, industrial, elegant…. They all apply. It’s crisp, clean lines, neutral colors and overall simplistic elegance lend itself to a variety of wedding styles. If you want boho, classic, chic, elegant- Haus 820 is for the bride who already has a vision for her wedding day and is looking for the perfect starting canvas for her wedding day dream.

Upon first entering the venue space you are surrounded by large floor to ceiling windows –they let in lots of natural light! As a Lakeland wedding photographer, this makes me so happy to see beautiful building design with clean and bright lighting. I know what makes for good portraits at a wedding venue and Haus 820 will make for AMAZING wedding portraits!

The space is large enough that you can even have your ceremony and reception in the same main venue space. The room has a high ceiling and a sleek, modern bar nestled in the corner. Which is sure to be a hit with wedding guests!

The Bridal Suite

The getting ready areas are detached from the main indoor space, located just across the parking lot. The bridal suite has a row of vanities for makeup and hair. They even have an adorable little seating area. I’ve seen lots of getting ready areas and this is definitely one of my favorites! The pop of color, the modern design elements and the ease and comfort are all big perks when choosing a place for you and your best friends to prep for your wedding! Even the ladies bathroom is beautiful!!

The Groom’s Ready Room

Just around the corner is the grooms area, which has it’s own special design elements. There’s a large wall mirror that is surrounded by a wooden hexagon tile pattern. There’s even a mini fridge so the guys can enjoy some refreshments while they prep.

The Lakeland Murals

If you’ve been around Lakeland’s charming downtown areas you’ve spotted one of the amazing murals that make our little town so beautiful. Haus 820 has three of them! Two on property and one just around the corner. There’s a intricate, colorful design in the courtyard, an orange theme just around the corner (for the true Floridian) and a color block design that’s one of the most Insta-worthy murals in Lakeland.

The Courtyard

Now we finally come to the courtyard! Haus 820 has the prettiest outside courtyard. On the day I visited the venue it was cool and bright. I didn’t want to leave. Even though you’re right in the middle of hotels, shops and all the bustling fun Lakeland has to offer, the courtyard is a quiet, beautiful spot. There’s trees in the background and natural elements to soften the crisp modern look of the building. It really is a beautiful pairing as you can see in my portraits below. The courtyard is popular location for ceremonies and cocktail hour, it’s even available as a Lakeland engagement photo spot.

Final Details

In addition to all their amazing spaces Haus 820 also offers tables and chairs to accommodate up to 150 guests. Their venue space can comfortably seat 350 guests and you can bring in extra tables and chairs if need be. This Lakeland wedding venue is such a popular choice that they book weddings all week and price the days according to demand (Monday being most affordable to Saturday being the most sought after).

Haus 820 is such a unique location for the bride that has the perfect vision for her wedding day. It’s blank canvas, location and modern yet historical feel make it such a gem that’s hard to find a comparison. The staff is friendly and helpful…which is essential to a smooth stress free wedding day! This is one of my favorite Lakeland wedding venues!
