Melrose Caverns Winter Wedding

When I arrived at Melrose caverns’ farmhouse there was a mist and quite peace over the Shenandoah Valley. The drive up from Harrisonburg was lined with the Blue Ridge Mountains. Stepping into the farmhouse I was greeted with the love and laughter that should surround every wedding party. There was a flurry of activity and joy in the air.

Kate and Tyler decided to get ready at the Melrose Caverns farmhouse. They even invited their entire wedding party to join them! The guys were downstairs and the girls were upstairs doing hair and makeup. The house was as unique as it was beautiful. There were lots of rooms and quiet corners so everyone had their own space. Even the outbuildings were beautiful!

Later that morning welcomed my favorite part of the wedding day, The First Look. Kate and Tyler’s first look allowed us to get some amazing wedding portraits. Not only do first looks provide amazing portrait time, sometimes they can be the only private moments couples get together during their wedding day. Kate and Tyler’s first look was such a sweet romantic moment that they’ll be able to cherish forever in their wedding album. 

Kate and Tyler are such a welcoming and loving couple. Their wedding was the perfect reflection of that. The ceremony and reception were held at Melrose Caverns. A beautiful stone building surrounded by quiet pastoral fields. They chose the perfect venue for their wedding!

Kate & Tyler spent their wedding day surround by friends and family. Looking at all the smiling faces and hearing the speeches all I could think about was the future of love and friendship that lay ahead of them. I’m sure their marriage will be as wonderful as their wedding day.
